CT Tubing End Locator
The CT DTI Tubing End Locator is a normally retracted hydraulic action tool used to locate the tubing end for depth correlation purposes.
The CT DTI Tubing End Locator is run below the tubing end. By increasing CT flow/pressure to the tool, a piston will move the normally retracted arms into the expanded position.
Whilst maintaining CT flow/pressure, a slow upward movement of the CT will bring the expanded arms into contact with the tubing entry point and an over pull will be seen. When maximum over pull is achieved, the arms will retract and the tubing end locator will pull through.
This type of tagging can be repeated as many times as required and can also be used to locate nipples.
The CT DTI Tubing End Locator is available to suit most common tubing sizes.
