CT Tubing Anchor

The DTI CT Anchor is a hydraulically activated tool used to securely anchor the CT toolstring inside the tubing. The CT Anchor is commonly used in operations where maintaining a stationary toolstring, even when subjected to high axial loads, is critical. Popular applications include tubing cutting, high flow production logging, high pressure treatments, perforating and hydraulic stroking operations.

When the BHA differential pressure is increased over the DTI CT Anchor activation pressure the hardened slips engage the tubing wall. A high strength cone supports the slips to generate a large holding force. Reducing the differential pressure at the CT Anchor causes the slips to retract and the CT BHA can then be moved up or down the well. The DTI CT Anchor features an emergency shear release mechanism.

The DTI CT Tubing Anchor is available to suit tubing sizes from 2 3/8” through to 5 ½”. Other sizes are available on request.
