Shock Absorber
The DTI Shock Absorber is used to provide load damping protection for downhole measuring instruments against the transmitted shocks obtained from general wireline operations. It is usually placed directly between the hanger sub and the instrument being run.
The DTI Shock Absorber is available in O.D. sizes 1 1/4”, 1 1/2”, 1 3/4”, 1 7/8” and 2”. Threaded connections are generally 15/16 upper, to suit gauge hanger, with lower connection being either 15/16 or 3/4 Amerada gauge thread.
The DTI Shock Absorber is manufactured in materials suitable for H2S service.
