Business Development and Interventions Specialist


Location: Aberdeen Based

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience

The Role

We are looking for an experienced business development specialist to join the team and help us attract new business in underdeveloped markets.

You will be responsible for identifying, managing, and closing opportunities for an assigned region and/or assigned accounts and responsible for cultivating business relationships in markets underdeveloped by the company. You will demonstrate all the behaviours associated with a high-performance sales culture, specifically prospecting for new business, identifying opportunities to provide solutions, and delivering results against an agreed sales plan. You should be impassioned about the sales process, be comfortable providing technical information, advice, and support to all levels of stakeholder across existing and new clients.

Design Engineer 2022

 

Permanent position for immediate start

DTI is a high growth, UK based, Well Intervention, Production & Abandonment Tool Manufacturer and we are recruiting for a Design Engineer to join a multi skilled team to help develop emerging products.   In particular to support the development of Safety Valves and premium E-Line tools.  Experience in Coil Tubing and slickline equipment will also be advantageous.

Position

The candidate will primarily be required to assist in the design and development of all engineering related activities. Creating quality designs, drawings and calculation packages.

We are looking for applicants that will be able to:

  • Supporting the engineering team in meeting the ongoing requirements of the business.
  • Be able to produce high quality designs right from concept, 2D and 3D modelling, through to drawings and layout, and create high quality calculation work packages.
  • Direct involvement with product/prototype builds and testing – liaising with company Production and Assembly departments where required.
  • Work to relevant industry codes such as API 14A.
  • Work with company rapid prototyping equipment to facilitate optimal design solutions.
  • Liaise with clients in order to support the commercial department and project management.
  • Ability to deliver presentations in a professional manner

Requirements

The successful applicant will be responsible working to deadlines and interfacing with customer project reviews:

  • Positive, pro-active and ability to work autonomously.
  • Practical and competent using hand tools and mechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to develop downhole tools from concept through to deployment.
  • Highly proficient with traditional calculations for downhole tool design.
  • HNC or Degree qualified in relevant field (mechanical, product, electro-mechanical engineering/design)
  • 2-5 years relevant engineering experience in downhole tools, ideally safety valves or e-line equipment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Experience with rapid turnaround on projects (e.g. 2-4 months from design to delivery)
  • Good team player with sound interpersonal skills
  • Good working knowledge of CAD system Solid works or Inventor.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting workloads and work to deadlines
  • Offshore experience preferred but not essential.

Graduate Design Engineer 2022

DTI is a high growth, UK based, Well Intervention, Production & Abandonment Tool Manufacturer specialising in coil tubing, slickline and flow control equipment.  We are recruiting for a Graduate or Junior Design Engineer to join a multi skilled team to support the testing and development of new products.

Position

The candidate will be required to assist in the design and development of Engineering products, including the testing, design and support of new products as well as existing product lines.

We are looking for applicants that possess the following skills and experience:

  • Supporting the engineering team in meeting the ongoing requirements of the business.
  • Direct involvement with product/prototype builds and testing working under the direction of senior engineers and liaising with company Production and Assembly departments where required.
  • Create CAD models and engineering drawings, perform stress/load calculations where required.
  • Work with company rapid prototyping equipment to facilitate optimal design solutions.
  • Ability to deliver presentations in a professional manner.

Requirements

The successful applicant will be responsible working to deadlines and interfacing with customer project reviews:

  • Naturally inquisitive and an aptitude for problem solving.
