Technical Buyer
DTI are seeking to recruit a Technical Buyer for our offices based in Poole. This newly created role will be responsible for both national and international supply chain management and will suit an experienced buyer who is used to a fast paced environment, who is confident to use their initiative and be proactive in negotiating and buying and ensuring best quality services and best commercial terms are achieved. An engineering background with machined components will be key requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- MRP order placement analysing each item for specification, quality, delivery requirements and cost.
- Audit Suppliers
- Identify and develop new suppliers based on capability, quality, lead time and price.
- Discuss technical requirements with vendors such as materials, process, dimensions, tolerances, finishes, etc.
- Expedite orders to ensure compliance with delivery schedule, price and quality.
- Evaluate vendor performance based upon on time delivery, quality, price etc and publish KPI data.
- Investigate NCR issues to determine root cause and take corrective action.
- Establish a tiered supplier network
- Identifying areas of improvement and savings opportunities through continuous improvement activities and benchmarking.
- Identify risk and minimize exposure, working closely with internal stakeholders to define and implement mitigating actions.
- Expand international supply chain.
Qualifications/Skills
- In depth knowledge of machined component manufacturing processes.
- Functioning within an ISO9001 environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing role.
- A high degree of confidence interacting and negotiating with suppliers.
- Project management skills.
- CIPS level 5 or equivalent.
- Results driven, able to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Supplier costs management and techniques.
- Supplier dispute resolution.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills.

Global Business Development Manager Energy Transition Technologies - Full time Poole or Aberdeen
DTI are recruiting for a Global Business Development Manager to lead the diversification of their product portfolio into new energy sectors.
This exciting new role would suit a highly commercial and technical individual to establish and grow an emerging DTI product line for hydrogen and carbon capture applications.
In addition to the commercialisation of new energy transition technology, this role is responsible for the shaping of a potential new division by identifying wider opportunities, establishing strong client relationships and new sector entry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Plan creation and execution
- Identification of applications for existing and new technologies developed for the alternative energy sector
- Secure trials for new technology
- Commercialise recently developed technologies
- Develop client relationships and ensure excellent client engagement and support

Application Engineer - Full time Dubai
Job description
DTI are seeking to hire an Application Engineer to support our growing business in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager the holder will be required, daily, to demonstrate technical mastery of well intervention technologies and well completions activities, to support product development, business development and sales in the primary region and on occasion to the global business, in turn helping to deliver results against an agreed sales plan. You should be impassioned about providing technical information, advice, and support to all levels of stakeholder from existing and new clients.
We are looking for someone with five or more years of artificial lift, completion and well intervention operations. The candidate will be able to clearly articulate technical principles, tool functionality and their applications to our customers and be able to provide practical support and training in tool operation and maintenance.
Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates the role will require travel, mostly within the MENA region.
