Ultra-High Expansion (UHX) technology

With an industry-leading combination of high working pressure and ultra-high 300% expansion ratios, these products have the strength and durability required for serious high-pressure sealing. 

The technology provides plugging and isolation solutions in wells with narrow upper restrictions and larger diameter lower completions and can isolate pressured and flowing zones in a fast and cost-effective single run without the use of cement. Tools can easily be deployed by a wide range of operators and service companies on a global scale by using standard setting tools rather than a bespoke arrangement. In addition to oil and gas applications, where we have already field-deployed the technology, these products can assist in repurposing wells for CO₂ and gas storage.

Inter-Expansion (IX) technology

Our V3 rated, permanent and retrievable expansion solutions offer cost-effective inflow, thru-tubing deployment, to isolate pressured and flowing zones in a fast and cost-effective single run, using standard setting tools. 

Slim Pump Safety Valve (SPSV)

Our SPSV technology is designed to be retrofitted to mature or depleted wells, in-line with a cable-deployed electric submersible pump (CDESP) to deliver enhanced operational safety. 

The SPSV sits below the ESP in the well and operates independently, removing any reliance on the existing subsurface safety valve (SSSV). It uses no pressurised chambers, hydraulic control lines or electrical power, improving reliability. It is actuated by pressure differentials, to fail-safe close when the ESP is switched off and open again when the ESP is pumping. It can be opened and closed as many times as required and provides an effective well barrier, being unaffected by lower well pressure.

If an existing ESP fails, operators can avoid the cost of a workover and lengthy remediation downtime by retrofitting a slim-line cable-deployed ESP, along with an SPSV, through the tubing, above the existing pump, stabbing into a seal bore packer set in the tubing. For depleted wells, or for reinstating shut-in wells that require artificial support to kick-start production, this through-tubing technology is fast and cost-efficient to install. This versatile technology is multi-purpose and can be used as a safety valve for other artificial lift systems such as jet-pumps and velocity strings. Slickset Plugs and Packers

Our slickset PKB plugs and packers are jar set using a conventional slickline/ wireline toolstring. The plug can be used for a low cost gauge hanger, standing valve or injection valve and the packoff can be used as part of a straddle sleeve or for gas lift systems. 

The lower slips are activated by stopping the wireline quickly to shock shear the activation pin, setting down weight then engaging the lower slips with the tubing wall. Jarring down sets the element and then further jarring down sets the upper slips. Picking up the toolstring removes the sheared GS pulling tool from the bridge plug upper fish neck and the running prong closes the equalising ports as it is moved up out of the bridge plug. A lock ring traps the setting force into the element so that it will not release during subsequent pressure reversals.
